STOP PRESS: NOW DUE TO SHOW AT CLIFF COLLEGE FOR FESTIVAL WEEKEND

1

The Power of Faith is a photographic exhibition produced by Rev Langley Mackrell-Hey, a Methodist Minister based in South Lincoln. It follows the success of 'The Secret Life', a fly-on-the-wall documentary that revealed much of the unseen work done by the Church.

The exhibition demonstrates how the Christian faith is alive today by showing how everyday people have achieved the extraordinary. In documenting both small and large-scale events it challenges the idea that the Church is out of touch, boring and irrelevant.

Rev Mackrell-Hey states, "Every picture tells a story. We have over 60 images that speak about how faith is transforming lives and of how the Church plays a vital role in local communities. I hope everyone be encouraged to think about the difference that faith can make. I also hope that visitors will get a better idea of what life in the Church is really like."

This webpage provides a sample of images captured during 2006 that were forwarded to the Methodist Recorder in its Lincoln and Grimsby District Supplement, together with others that made the final exhibition. The exhibition was hosted by Lincoln Central Library in September 2007. It received regional and national press coverage.
